<A Morning Prayer: Lord, I wait for you.>

One day, I woke up in the morning. My body noticed something was wrong. Anxiety
was taking control over me. It was hard to breathe. Peace ran away from my presence.
Oh, how restless I was. But I did not want to give up on the day God had given to me
as a gift. Therefore, with a yearning heart, my soul cried out to God.

Though my body is weak,
My emotion is like a monster, always ready to swallow me.
My soul waits for you,
More than watchmen wait for the morning. (Ps. 130:6)

No, I am not capable,
But, Lord, for you are my Lord,
Lift me to the highest sky,
Let me soar on wings like eagles. (Is. 40:31)

Yes, I am weak, but I will not be discouraged,
For I put my hope in you.
For I lift my eyes to you.
For I know who you are.

Lord, my rock, my hiding place,
I am ready to witness with my eyes — your glory, your victory.

Show me and show the nations,
Who my Lord is, who you are.
So my soul can be fulfilled and comforted.

Never let me be put to shame,
For I wait for you. (Ps. 25:3)
