A Calvin Theological Seminary Publication by Students & Alumni
Editorial: Volume 47.6

Editorial: Volume 47.6

As we come to the end of the semester, and everybody’s schedules get busy with papers and exams and sermons and projects, we as the Kerux editors just wanted to take a moment here to thank you all for your wonderful support and encouragement over this past semester. We had great contributions from many people this semester, and we hope that this will continue through next semester.

We would like to thank Student Senate and the Dean of Students Office for helping us work through the budget issues at the beginning of the year, so that we could continue to bring this publication to the seminary community in print as well as online.

We would also like to thank IT and the wonderful guys who work there for helping us with the various issues involved in setting up the new website, www.calvin- seminary.edu/kerux, allowing us to share with the seminary community at large, whether that be distance learning students, alumni, supporters, or those many people who pray for us every day.

We would like to extend a special thanks, too, to the wonderful people at Calvin Printing Services. Their great prices and quick response time allow us to get the Kerux out regularly despite our own scheduling irregularities and last-minute deadlines. We have found no better print shop, and to be honest, we don’t think there is one. You are great to work with.

As you all prepare for Christmas vacations, think about what you would like to share with the seminary community next semester through the Kerux, whether it be reflections on an experience or course, recommendations on books to read or movies to watch, a theological question that has occupied your mind for awhile, or a news report on an event you attended. If you’re planning on doing a travel course for the J-term, we’d love for you to share that information with us!

Finally, as you all hunker down to plow through your end-of-the-semester work, we give you these words of advice: work hard, sleep hard, pray hard, and then, when you’re all done, play hard. Blessings to you all as we celebrate the advent of our Lord.      —JCM
