In the Spotlight:

If you see these people around, introduce yourself. If you already know them, tell them how lovely they looked in the Kerux!

Student Spotlight: Jason Terpstra

I am a third year student in the Masters of Divinity program with a concentration in youth and family ministry.  I am also actively involved in youth ministry at my home church. (Calvin CRC in Holland, MI)

I have lived in West Michigan my whole life.  I was born in Holland, MI and spent my childhood there.  After graduating from Holland Christian (Go Maroons!), I attended Calvin College where I graduated with a B.A. in Religion and a minor in Philosophy.  Now I am enjoying my studies here at CTS and really see God’s blessings in my life!

Other things you might be interested to know about me is that I come from a family of four and my sister, Cassie, is currently a student at Kuyper College.  Singing has been a favorite pastime of mine and I am glad to be a part of the Seminary Choir here.  Finally, in my free time you would most likely find me glued to the TV watching sports, so if you need any advice on your fantasy teams just let me know. (Except hockey, unless you want your team to perform badly)  I hope that you now know me a little better!

Staff Spotlight: Debra Johnson

I have been working at Calvin Theological Seminary for about a year and a half in the Financial Services Department.  I enjoy the work and especially like all the interaction I have with the students.

I will be married to Jeff for 30 years on October 1st.   We have two boys, Ryan 27, he is working at Circuit Electric earning his Journeymen Card and Kyle 25, who graduated in April from Lake Superior State University and now, is employed at Grandville High School.

On the week-ends we spend most of our time at our cottage in Croton on the Muskegon River.  We enjoy boating, campfires, yard games and having our friends and family join us.

In my spare time I enjoy knitting, crocheting and card making.  Also, scrap booking and pictures are a big passion of mine.

If you know me at all, you should already know that I can’t wait until the day I am blessed with a Grandbaby and have someone to call me Grandma J
