Who am I before you, God?
Who is it that you have planned for me to be?
Who am I among you?
In Christ Jesus, my Lord?
Who am I before you, God?
If the Spirit lives in me now, Lord,
Then why do I still sin every day?
Although the Holy Spirit transformed me, they say,
Who am I before you, God?
Men say it’s impossible, but you say it’s possible to preach your word.
Who am I, then, within you, Oh my God?
If I am saved, then how can I still feel the same?
Who am I before you, God?
But a sinner always?
Regardless of how righteous I was or how much I changed,
If good works are meaningless, then there’s no point in repenting.
Who am I before you, God?
Who is it you see?
If you elected and adopted me,
If that’s the case, then who am I?
Who am I before you, God?
Do you see all my faults?
or my heart?
I find peace and salvation in your son, yet his life was the cost.
Who am I before you, God?
Will I meet you one day?
Will you answer my questions?
Will I still feel the same way?
Who am I before you, God?
A daughter of the high king?
or a child of God?
a believer or a sinner?
Who am I before you, God?
Baptized in forgiveness?
Yet I am limited in the ways I can love you.
Standing before you, I am both guilty and ashamed.
